I am trying to opensome existing web sites on my machine (XP Pro, SP2 with IIS installed). Other sites will open, but none ofthe files on the site appear in the designer. I need total help. Please try again. weblink

Frontpg.lck - HELP! Has anyone seen this before? I am trying to opensome existing web sites on my machine (XP Pro, SP2 with IIS installed). Anyway, I haven't yet asked the hosts to replace the FPSE, as I'm not sure this will solve the problem - is Frontpg.lck part of the FPSE deployment, or is it
- In my add-remove components, under IIS, there is only 2000 extensions.
- But I wanteda more permanent fix that would work inside VWD.
- do i need to have my webhosting provider fix the security permissions??
- The server techs either don't know what they are doing, or don't want to do it, forcing you to eliminate them.
- I only have Power User permissions so I cant get the Windows Components page.

I use them for my navigation but a DWT is really easier. I would really like to use the Remote Web Site option so I can build the sites from Visual Studio on my remote machine. I received that error a few times, then I just deleted the file on the server and published the changes and all has worked out fine. I read somewhere however that a dropped connection can cause the same corruption, which could be the case here.

You still have to upload all the files if you change anything in either one of them.
To rectify this, you have a choice of three options: Locate the Service.lck file with Windows Explorer and delete it. If I have a corrupt .lck file and I delete it to solve the problem, can I recreate it somehow, or will reinstalling the FPSE solve the problem (my hosts will The content you requested has been removed. I getthis error when trying to open some sites. It certainly made a difference - the whole thing got even more bizarre and frustrating (first I got "can´t access Frontpg.lck", then ditto Service.lck, then "can´t write to an html file" If you try to open the site using FP client, it says: "FrontPageRoot" not found.
