- Running Windows 98, the file Mfc40.dll is not removed due to a conflict with the Microsoft System Information program.
- If you installed from a network location, run Setup from the network location that currently contains the Setup program.

Then uninstall the installed part of Office 2000 and the system is clean. So I insert my original disk and it doesn't give me an option to uninstall.
