Computer Cannot Detect Scanner Camera Windows Xp

My question is, how do I get Windows to autodetect the camera and start the wizard when I make the connection? I've looked in device manager and it says the scanner is working. The camera was working fine before the reg clean and defrag, so it has to be because of that. by tba1 » Wed Jan 19, 2005 5:39 am I, too, have been pulling my hair out for the last few days trying to figure out why the scanner is suddenly I think at some point I selected 'Cancel' with the 'Always do the selected action.' checked, and now no matter what I do, I cannot get back into the scanner and Once the software/drivers for the devices is installed, you can use the S&C wizard to get a quick scan, without having to mess with the bloatware that often accompanies the devices. If you have any graphics software installed...see if it picks up either device as a source. This autofix is the sh1t.

This is just one of the last problems I haven't been able to fix. Sign up now! It was the latest Real Player update... I have tried removing all the drivers for the camera (uninstall from the device manager), and start over, but the same problem occurs.

In the Device Manager it appears under the DISK DRIVES instead of the Imaging Devices. The usb is ok and the scanner is on.

Plus throughout the whole scan a box kept popping up asking me to try again about a thousand times before the scan was finished, my fingers were exhausted. Check This Out On any one of my other Windows XP machines the wizard starts up with no problem. Please try again now or at a later time. I have tried tweakui and got nothing to change.
