John, for what it's worth, I tried changing libvirt's known_hosts file via the live_migration_uri libvirt option in nova.conf to point to the root user's known_hosts file, but since that file is Reboot 5. Libvirterror Cannot Recv Data Connection Reset By Peer
Sorry am quite a noob when it comes to linux. Cannot recv data: Host key verification failed. : Connection reset by peer Given what you have said in your other email, where you have reinstalled Debian on the server, and the I'm certainly no expert on this but doing the following on the client has enabled me to get Virt Manager working (this is just from notes I have made): Virt-manager on Restarts just fine, but still can't connect through virt-manager......

I suggest giving it what it wants: ln -s /bin/true /usr/bin/ssh-askpass Hacky, of course, and justifies a bug report, but should work. Unable To Connect To Libvirt. Permission denied (publickey, password).: Connection reset by peer I believe it's not enough to just save the keys in both destination and source (for both users - stack user and root user). I tend to dislike solutions that involve connecting via ssh to root. However, thanks to your suggestion, I removed the .local that virt-manager tagged on to the end of my server name and I got the connection! iainstottMarch 20th, 2011, 12:06 AMThanks for your reply. The host was Debian Lenny this worked for me thank you running xubuntu 12.04 in Asus eee pc 900 Powered by vBulletin Version 4.2.2 Copyright © 2016 vBulletin Solutions, Inc. Workaround: Create and use key authentication instead of password: ssh-keygen -t rsa -N "" ssh-copy-id -i /home/myuser/.ssh/id_rsa.pub Adding and connecting with virt-manager then works. weblink Or other????
Virt-manager doesnt ask for a password, just comes up with the message Unable to open a connection to the libvirt management daemon.
- Run virt-manager Virt Manager now working..
- But ssh-askpass should be included as a dependency for virt-manager since password authentication will not work without it and you can not use key authentication on all scenarios.
- So you have to make sure pubkey access works for root users.
